What is Organic Cotton?

Organic Cotton is cotton that’s grown from non-genetically modified plants, without the use of any harsh or synthetic chemicals such as fertilizers or pesticides. When you choose organic cotton, you make a choice that’s better for the planet, for farmers, and for you by reducing the environmental footprint of growing and dyeing cotton, providing a safer and more economically beneficial relationship with farmers.

What is Fairtrade?

Fairtrade means better prices, safe working conditions, local sustainability, and fair terms of trade for farmers and workers in the developing world. We believe economic empowerment and sustainable livelihoods are the basis for a market that works for everyone.

Do you have warranty?

Yes, we do! If any of your products have a manufacturing defect, we will be happy to replace your product for you. Please note that we can only accept any manufacturing defect claims within 30 days of purchase of the product.

What is thread count?

Our sheets are a luxurious 300 single-ply thread count. Using a single-ply thread means you get the absolute highest quality yarn, with the fewest number of roughness-causing split ends.

Are your sheets sateen or percale? What’s the difference?

Our Signature Sets are made of organic, long-staple cotton in a sateen weave. Sateen is a weaving technique that maximizes the surface area of each super soft strand, creating a silk-like buttery smooth feel.

Do Looma sheets wrinkle?

We don't use any artificial wrinkle-free chemicals in our sheets, but our sateen weaving technique means that Looma sheets are less prone to wrinkling than most Linen or Percale.

How do Looma sheets feel?

After sleeping on one our foundation sets, the two most common words in our customers’ reviews are “love” and “smooth” – we think those two words speak for themselves!

What is the GSM of your linen sheets?

Our linen sheets are woven to a 165 GSM which makes them the perfect combination of durable and breathable.

Are the natural color organic sheets dyed or bleached with anything?

Our ‘Natural’ color sheets are neither dyed or bleached – they are a pale ivory color which is the undyed, unprocessed color of cotton.

Are your sheet sets hypoallergenic?

Yes, our sheet sets are 100% hypoallergenic.

What kind of dyes do you use?

Our dyes are all low-impact GOTS certified making them the safest and cleanest dyes available worldwide. This makes them better for you and better for the planet.

Are you OEKO-TEX certified?

All our organic cotton linens are GOTS Certified. GOTS requirements include and significantly exceed those of OEKO-TEX 100, so that is the certificate we reference to demonstrate our commitment to safe, gentle, and non-toxic products. How do I wash my sheets?

Our super soft long-staple cotton sheets are the gift that keeps on giving – you’ll notice they get progressively softer with each wash. We recommend you wash & rotate sheets every week or so. We recommend you wash your sheets on a cold, gentle cycle with like colors. Tumble dry your sheets on the low setting, removing items quickly to prevent wrinkling.

Should I wash my sheets when they arrive?

Our long-staple cotton bedding is known for getting progressively softer with each wash – if you want to accelerate that process wash them early and often!

How deep are your fitted sheets?

Our fitted sheets are a generous 17” deep – able to fit even the thickest of mattresses & mattress protectors

What size are your bedding sets?

Our bed linens are primarily sized to Standard North American sizing. For more information, please click on the "Size Guide" link that can be found on each product page. We also offer a ‘Custom Tailor’ option where we may be able to craft unique sizes for your business / BnB / hotel / lodge – please email us at hello@loomahome.com.
