Frequently Asked Questions

What is Organic Cotton?

Organic Cotton is cotton that’s grown from non-genetically modified plants, without the use of any harsh or synthetic chemicals such as fertilizers or pesticides. When you choose organic cotton, you make a choice that’s better for the planet, for farmers, and for you by reducing the environmental footprint of growing and dyeing cotton, providing a safer and more economically beneficial relationship with farmers.

What is Fairtrade?

Fairtrade means better prices, safe working conditions, local sustainability, and fair terms of trade for farmers and workers in the developing world. We believe economic empowerment and sustainable livelihoods are the basis for a market that works for everyone.

All of our cotton is Fairtrade certified, traded, audited and sourced from Fairtrade producers. Visit to learn more!

Do you have warranty?

All of our products are covered by the Looma Forever Warranty. Our bedding is expertly crafted with obsessive attention paid to each and every detail. We’ll replace your Looma sheet set with a brand new set at absolutely no charge to you if your sheets are defective in workmanship or materials.

We’re proud to offer such an impressive warranty, but the truth is: it’s not hard if you make products that last.

Most companies shy away from using these high-end materials, either because they want to encourage their customers to buy from them again and again, or because they want to boost profits by cutting corners.

That's not how we do things. We want you to be satisfied for as long as possible with your Looma sheets. If you do buy from us again, we want it to be for your second bedroom, your friends, or your family.

What is thread count?

Our sheets are a luxurious 300 single-ply thread count. Using a single-ply thread means you get the absolute highest quality yarn, with the fewest number of roughness-causing split ends.

Are your sheets sateen or percale? What’s the difference?

Our Signature Sets are made of organic, long-staple cotton in a sateen weave. Sateen is a weaving technique that maximizes the surface area of each super soft strand, creating a silk-like buttery smooth feel.

Do Looma sheets wrinkle?

We don't use any artificial wrinkle-free chemicals in our sheets, but our sateen weaving technique means that Looma sheets are less prone to wrinkling than most Linen or Percale.

How do Looma sheets feel?

After sleeping on one our foundation sets, the two most common words in our customers’ reviews are “love” and “smooth” – we think those two words speak for themselves!

How do I wash my sheets?

Our super soft long-staple cotton sheets are the gift that keeps on giving – you’ll notice they get progressively softer with each wash. We recommend you wash & rotate sheets every week or so. We recommend you wash your sheets on a cold, gentle cycle with like colors. Tumble dry your sheets on the low setting, removing items quickly to prevent wrinkling.

Should I wash my sheets when they arrive?

Our long-staple cotton bedding is known for getting progressively softer with each wash – if you want to accelerate that process wash them early and often!

How deep are your fitted sheets?

Our fitted sheets are a generous 17” deep – able to fit even the thickest of mattresses & mattress protectors
